Leopard 10.5.2...

Another day half way through without the latest update to OSX Leopard. I'm having a few problems with audio and video pausing for a couple of seconds and then jumping a few seconds forward... very annoying. Video seems to play happily from a DVD though...

Other than that, my experience with the now three month old operating system has been fairly trouble free. In fact, the new features almost make up for the frustration of not being able to watch videos or listen to music comfortably on my £1300 computer. Time Machine has actually got me to back up regularly and I really like the new finder with shared volumes on the sidebar - much more elegant than having to place aliases on the desktop for quick network drive mounting.

Anyway... It's still more enjoyable than using Windows and less hassle than Linux!

Holidaaay!

My girlfriend, Jordan, and I booked flights for our holiday today. We are flying to L.A., then Auckland, then Tokyo, then Hong Kong and finally back to the U.K. We're going for about two months in total and spending about two weeks in each city. I haven't been outside of Europe in over seven years so it's going to be a bit of an adventure. We now just need to book hostels and find out if we can stay with people while we're out there... Oh, and save up some spending money.

E-learning Expo

I am currently sitting on a train coming home from London after visiting an exhibition on e-learning. The reason for me going was to get a better understanding of the industry, although it's probably more accurate to say i got i pretty good understanding of the outside area whilst slipping out for frequent cigarette breaks.

The Adobe bit was cool though. All the other companies (that have been in the industry for years) were showing off some really ugly looking software, and then Adobe come along with this beautifully presented solution with a really elegant UI that shows them all up... You have to give these big software companies that - they do know the best way to do something.

First post...

Right... well. I've always known about the 'blog this' option when taking photos on my Sony k800i but I have never used it. Today I was bored at work and decided to take the plunge and choose that option on one of my pictures. It sent the picture of my cat Fritz off to this website and gave me a url and a code so I thought I should probably have a look.
So here I am. I'm not sure how long this blog will even last... I still have a Livejournal that I don't use...
But for your viewing pleasure, here is the picture that forced me to sign up to this site!
